Thiruvananthapuram, April 9 -- Senior leaders and candidates of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were among the early voters as polling commenced for the Kerala Assembly Elections 2026 on Thursday, reflecting the party's push for a strong start in key constituencies.

Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar was among the first to cast his vote, arriving at Jawahar Nagar LPS polling booth at 7 am. Senior BJP leader Kummanam Rajasekharan also voted early at Fort School near SP Fort.
