Mumbai, June 19 -- BJP leader Narayan Rane on Thursday criticised Shiv Sena (UBT) Chief Uddhav Thackeray on the occasion of the party's anniversary while extending his wishes to Eknath Shinde.



Acknowledging his growth under the mentorship of Balasaheb Thackeray, Rane said, "I agree that I grew up because of Balasaheb Thackeray and that is why Balasaheb was my Guru and everything."



However, he claimed that the original Shiv Sena had legally gone to Eknath Shinde.



Rane questioned the legitimacy of Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena, saying, "His shop is closed."



He alleged that Uddhav Thackeray had compromised on Balasaheb's Hindutva ideology for power and money.
