Buldhana (Maharashtra), Aug. 16 -- BJP leader and former minister from Nandurbar district, Padmakar Valvi, joined the Congress party today.

He formally entered the party at the residence of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Harshavardhan Sapkal in Buldhana.

Tribal Congress president and former minister Prof. Vasant Purke, Tribal Congress state general secretary Adv. Roshan Gavit, Dhule Tribal Congress president Deepak Ahire, Buldhana City Congress president Datta Kakas, Irfan Pathan, and other Congress office-bearers were present.

The MPCC president welcomed Padmakar Valvi into the party.

Valvi, a former minister, officially joined the Congress today, said Sapkal.
