Kolkata, Nov. 2 -- Seeking to rally Bengal's youth ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched its state-specific digital outreach campaign, NaMo Yuva Yodha, a move that the Trinamool Congress (TMC) has criticised as a direct attempt to counter Abhishek Banerjee's youth-driven initiative, Ami Banglar Digital Joddha ("I am Bengal's Digital Warrior").

The initiative, party leaders said, is designed to enlist young volunteers as "digital warriors" to counter "corruption, misrule, and misinformation" allegedly spread by the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC).
