Hyderabad, March 12 -- Telangana BJP President N Ramachander Rao on Thursday evening participated in a candlelight march at Tank Bund in Hyderabad, seeking justice for Tarun Kathik, who was allegedly beaten to death during Holi celebrations in Delhi.
Speaking to the media, Ramachander Rao said several Dalit and Hindu organisations had come together to organise candle marches in remembrance of the victim and to demand justice. He said he joined the programme to express solidarity with those seeking accountability for the incident.
The BJP leader alleged that Tarun Kathik was attacked while playing music during Holi celebrations and claimed that a group of 30-35 people assaulted the youth, leading to his death.
