Hyderabad, Aug. 25 -- The Telangana BJP on Monday strongly countered the allegations of "vote chori" made by TPCC President and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud, terming them baseless, irresponsible and an attempt to divert public attention from the Congress government's failures.

BJP State Chief Spokesperson and Media In-Charge N.V. Subhash, in a statement, condemned Goud's personal remarks against union Minister and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar, calling them reckless and a reflection of the Congress leader's frustration.

"When did Mahesh Goud suddenly realise that Bandi Sanjay is not from a Backward Class? His rise from councillor to MP is because of people's mandate, not bogus votes," Subhash asserted.
