Lucknow, May 13 -- Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government has ruined the health services of Uttar Pradesh.
In a statement issued here, Akhilesh said that negligence in hospitals in UP is at its peak. "The poor are not getting adequate medicines and treatment. Only formalities are being done in the name of treatment. Medical colleges lack facilities like adequate medicines, tests, professors, doctors, nurses, and technical staff for treatment. Big hospitals are dominated by middlemen. Commission and corruption in the purchase and sale of medicines and machines have crippled the entire system," he said.
