Lucknow, Oct. 4 -- Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav has charged that the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh is murdering democracy and is carrying out anti-constitutionaland undemocratic actions.
"Stopping of the Samajwadi Party delegation traveling to Bareilly by police at the behest of the government is condemnable. The BJP government is resorting to dictatorship to hide its failures. With its authoritarian attitude, the government is attacking the very spirit of the Constitution," he said here in a statement on Saturday.
Akhilesh said a few days earlier, a delegation led by senior Samajwadi Party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Ramji Lal Suman was stopped.
