New Delhi, June 28 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced today that it has set up a four-member fact-finding committee to investigate the alleged gangrape of a 24-year-old law student at a private college in Kolkata, a shocking incident that has sparked national outrage.
Addressing a press conference here, BJP national spokesperson and MP Sambit Patra said the party has taken serious note of the disturbing case, which reportedly involves individuals associated with the student wing of the ruling Trinamool party in West Bengal.
"BJP President JP Nadda has constituted a fact-finding team comprising senior leaders and Members of Parliament to look into the matter and submit a detailed report," Patra said.
