Nagpur, Nov. 28 -- Senior BJP leader and former state Finance Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar on Saturday slammed the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government for not holding the Winter Session of the State Legislature in this winter capital of Maharashtra.

Speaking to the media here, Mr Mungantiwar said by not holding the customary Winter Session here, citing the outbreak of COVID-19 as the reason for the same, the MVA government was neglecting the Vidarbh region of Maharashtra.

The former state minister also criticised the Thackeray-led government for not reconstituting the Vidarbha Statutory Development Board (VSDB) afresh, after its term expired in April.

He said VSDB was important, as it secured funds for the region's development.
