Kochi, Oct. 16 -- BJP Kerala vice president Adv. Shaun George today strongly criticized the CPI(M) and Congress for allegedly supporting the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), accusing both parties of aiding elements deliberately trying to disturb communal harmony in Kerala.
Adv. George said the SDPI had intentionally created unrest over the recent hijab issue, while the CPI(M) and Congress quietly aligned with them instead of standing by the school authorities.
"The day after the hijab controversy erupted, I personally visited the school. Until that time, not a single leader from the CPI(M) or Congress had inquired about what actually happened. The reason is clear: SDPI was leading the protests against the school," he said.
