Ranchi, March 19 -- The BJP in Jharkhand on Thursday alleged administrative irregularities in the Transport Department, claiming that a senior IAS officer assumed the role of Transport Commissioner for a brief period through internal orders, and demanded a detailed probe.

Addressing a press conference, BJP state spokesperson Ajay Sah said Transport Secretary Rajiv Ranjan issued an office order on March 10 assuming powers of the Transport Commissioner, and revoked the same through another order on March 11.
