Mumbai, Sept. 30 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has lodged a police complaint against the Maharashtra Congress over a series of controversial and allegedly misleading posts shared from its official handle on X (formerly Twitter), accusing the party of attempting to mislead the public and incite unrest.

Based on a written complaint submitted by BJP Social Media Cell Coordinator Prakash Gade, the Marine Drive police station has registered an FIR under Sections 192, 353(1), and 353(2) (provocation to cause riot and public mischief) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
