Chandigarh, Dec. 23 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has come under sharp criticism in Punjab after a cartoon image depicting Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and his four Sahibzadas surfaced on social media, triggering protests from opposition parties and Sikh organisations.
The controversy erupted after a social media post attributed to the Punjab BJP compared past Congress governments with the current BJP-led Centre. In the process, a cartoon representation of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and the Sahibzadas was shared, drawing strong objections from the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), who termed it disrespectful to Sikh sentiments. The post was later deleted, but screenshots had already circulated widely.
