Patna, Oct. 15 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which released its first list of candidates for Bihar assembly elections has repeated 13 ministers including both deputy chief ministers, 48 MLAs and expressed confidence in the leadership of nine women.

The list which was finalised after brain storming exercises done in the meeting of the Central Election Committee of the BJP, prominently attended by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, and other members of the Committee reflects a mix of continuity and change, as the party has fielded 48 sitting MLAs while dropping several senior leaders, including Assembly Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav and former minister Amrendra Pratap Singh.
