Mumbai, Dec. 2 -- The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today demanded to conduct municipal council president, municipal councils and nagar Panchayats election as per previously declared schedule .
BJP State President Ravindra Chavan in a letter addressed to the State Election Commission demanded to reverse this decision and conduct the elections as per the previous schedule.
Chavan has stated that the campaign for the municipality and nagar panchayat elections had reached its final stage, and that voting was scheduled to take place tomorrow, December 2, as per the previously planned programme.
