Hyderabad, Dec. 18 -- Telangana BJP president N Ramchander Rao on Thursday strongly condemned the incidents that occurred during the third phase of Gram Panchayat election counting at Paidipalle village in Velgatoor mandal of Dharmapuri Assembly constituency in Jagtial district, alleging serious irregularities and administrative failure.

In a press statement issued here, Ramchander Rao said a process that should have been transparent and democratic had descended into chaos.

He stated that supporters of the BJP-backed candidate, Ms Jakkula Mamatha Sekhar, raised legitimate objections during the counting process, pointing out that votes from another ballot were not counted.
