Bengaluru, Aug. 12 -- The Karnataka Legislative Assembly witnessed intense scenes today as Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) members raised the issue of the Dharmasthala mass burial case during Zero Hour.

BJP MLA V Sunil Kumar demanded that the state government release an interim report of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the alleged mass burials in the temple town.

He criticised the ongoing investigations, alleging that numerous burial sites had been excavated without yielding significant findings, and accused the government of targeting a prominent Hindu religious centre through social media campaigns.
