Bidar, Aug. 17 -- Karnataka Forest Minister Eshwar Khandre today accused the states principal opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of creating an "anonymous complainant" claiming that bodies were buried in the sacred Dharmasthala shrine area.
He alleged that the BJP is attempting to politicise the matter by launching a 'Dharmasthala Chalo' agitation.
Speaking to the media, Khandre said that the Congress has no intention of giving any political colour to the Dharmasthala incident.
"It is the BJP that is misusing faith for its selfish political gains. Congress has always respected religious and spiritual institutions. We have consistently worked for the development of temples, mosques, churches, and Buddhist viharas across the country...
