Mumbai, Sept. 24 -- Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Media Cell Chief Navnath Ban stated today that the Mahayuti government is actively assisting farmers in the Marathwada region, which is currently affected by a natural calamity.

Speaking at a press conference at the BJP state office, Ban criticised Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut for "making hollow statements" from Mumbai.

Ban announced that in the first phase of relief, Rs 2,500 crore has been deposited directly into the bank accounts of 3.2 million farmers. He added that further aid would be provided in a second phase.

He said that on the instructions of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, all farmers who have suffered losses will receive compensation without any eligibility criteria. ...
