Bengaluru, Aug. 26 -- Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and KPCC President DK Shivakumar today accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its associates of "hatching a conspiracy" to "malign" the reputation of Dharmasthala, one of the state's most revered pilgrimage centres.
Speaking to reporters here, Shivakumar alleged that the BJP was spreading false propaganda through a section of its leaders and outfits with the intention of creating confusion among devotees. "Please do not allow Dharmasthala to be misused for politics. We are not indulging in politics, we only want the truth to prevail," he appealed to Dharmadhikari Dr Veerendra Heggade.
