BJP asks Guv to rectify govt's unconstitutional move
Bengaluru, March 12 -- Karnataka BJP State President Vijayendra Yediyurappa on Wednesday urged Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot to advise the state government against what he termed as an unconstitutional move to curtail the rights of MLAs through Guarantee Implementation Committees.
Speaking to reporters after leading a BJP-JD(S) delegation to submit a memorandum to the Governor, Vijayendra alleged that the Congress government was bypassing elected representatives by appointing chairpersons at taluk, district, and state levels to oversee the implementation of its guarantee schemes.
