Chandigarh, Nov. 6 -- Echoing Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's allegations of large-scale voter manipulation in Haryana, senior party leader and former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Thursday raised serious concerns over the "inconsistent and inflated" voter turnout figures released by the Election Commission after the October 2024 Haryana Assembly elections.
Speaking at a press conference in Panipat, Hooda said that while the Commission initially reported 61.19% polling on the day of voting, the number was later revised to 65.65%, and eventually 67.9%. "How did the turnout suddenly rise by nearly six percent overnight?" he questioned.
