Ranchi, April 11 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday alleged that salary payments to government employees in Jharkhand have been delayed due to financial mismanagement by the state government.
Addressing a press conference at the party's state headquarters, BJP spokesperson Pratul Shah Deo said salaries had not been disbursed even by April 11, affecting a large number of employees.
He claimed that over 2.35 lakh regular employees and around 40,000 to 45,000 contractual and outsourced workers are yet to receive payments, impacting their dependents.
Shah Deo said delays in salary payments have affected household expenses, including ration, school fees and loan repayments.
