Shimla, March 2 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has alleged serious financial irregularities in the functioning of the Himachal Pradesh State Agricultural Marketing Board, citing findings in the Audit Report for 2023-24.

BJP chief spokesperson and MLA Rakesh Jamwal said the audit observations point to what he described as deep-rooted financial mismanagement under the present Congress government.

Addressing mediapersons in Shimla, he claimed that advances amounting to over Rs 110 crore remain unadjusted and unaccounted for in the Board's records.

According to Jamwal, the audit has also flagged a discrepancy of approximately Rs 49 crore in the deposit works.
