Srinagar, March 22 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday raised serious concerns over the mysterious death of its leader and former MLA Faqir Mohammad Khan, alleging it as murder.

BJP spokesperson Altaf Thakur dismissed the claim that Khan died by suicide, claiming that he was killed as part of a conspiracy.

"The condition in which he died is a suspicious matter. We have a doubt it is not a suicide and was killed under a conspiracy," Thakur told reporters after visiting Kangan in Ganderbal district to offer condolences to Khan's family.
