Bengaluru, Jan. 27 -- Karnataka Excise Minister RB Timmapur on Tuesday refused to resign over allegations of a multi-crore excise scam, even as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alleged that the corruption trail could extend up to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and disrupted proceedings of the Legislative Assembly demanding accountability.
Speaking to reporters in Bengaluru, Timmapur said he would not step down and would respond to the charges on the floor of the House. "I will not resign. Let the BJP raise the matter during the session. I will answer the allegations and provide clarifications," he said.
