Bengaluru, Oct. 18 -- Karnataka BJP President Vijayendra Yediyurappa today accused government officials in Chitapur of suppressing freedom of expression and stifling democratic rights, describing it as a manifestation of feudal politics in the region.
Vijayendra said that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), along with other pro-Hindu organizations, had followed all procedures and obtained official permissions to organize a procession marking the centenary of the Sangh.
"Despite adherence to all regulations, the local MLA and Minister Priyank Kharge has continued to engage in divisive politics by casting a malicious eye on this event," he alleged.
