Thiruvananthapuram, Dec. 9 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM) of casting "around 100 bogus votes" at a polling booth in Vanchiyoor during the ongoing local-body elections on Tuesday, triggering a tense confrontation between party workers at the site.
BJP City District President K. Jayan said the party has lodged complaints with both the Election Commission of Kerala and local police. According to the BJP, some voters-including a transgender individual-had allegedly already cast their votes in a different constituency, raising concerns over duplicate voting.
