Mumbai, Oct. 29 -- Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Media Cell Chief Navnath Ban today criticised Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut, accusing him of harboring a deep-seated bias against Hindu festivals and opposing the Simhastha Kumbh Mela for political gain.

Ban alleged that Raut would have welcomed a Muslim gathering like an Ijtema "wholeheartedly." He further criticised Raut, stating that he is "dancing to the tune of Rahul Gandhi and the Congress," using the Kumbh Mela controversy for political gain, even though farmers in Nashik have not opposed the event.
