New Delhi, Aug. 12 -- Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva today criticised opposition parties for making what he called "baseless allegations" against the Election Commission and the central government, accusing them of weakening democratic institutions.

Sachdeva pointed to contradictory positions within AAP, noting that while Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had accepted his party's electoral defeat in February as the "people's verdict," senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh has recently alleged rigging in the same Delhi elections. "AAP leaders have become political caricatures," Sachdeva said at a press conference.
