Bengaluru, Sept. 30 -- A 22-year-old student, Tanushree, was killed on the Kempegowda International Airport (KIAL) Road after a tipper truck ran over her while she tried to avoid a pot-hole, sparking a fierce political row between the BJP and Congress in Karnataka.

The BJP accused the Congress government of negligence and corruption, claiming the city's roads have become "death traps" due to poor maintenance. Assembly Leader of Opposition R Ashoka charged that while citizens face daily hazards, top Congress leaders, including Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, travel by helicopter to avoid the city's crumbling infrastructure.
