Bhubaneswar, Oct. 9 -- The Biju Yuva Janata Dal (BYJD) and Biju Chhatra Janata Dal (BCJD), the youth and student wings of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), today announced a statewide agitation over alleged irregularities in the Police Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment examination.

Addressing a press conference, BYJD President Chinmaya Sahu said the "cash-for-job" scam has deeply hurt the sentiments of the youth and student community in Odisha.

He said the BJD has demanded a CBI probe into the alleged large-scale corruption. "Instead of allowing an impartial investigation, the state government has handed over the case to the Crime Branch to shield influential persons involved in the scam," Sahu alleged.
