Bhubaneswar, Feb. 24 -- The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Tuesday vowed to continue its fight for farmers' rights, accusing the ruling BJP government of neglect and inaction.

Addressing a farmers' rally outside the state Assembly, party president Naveen Patnaik said the government raised slogans like 'Jai Kisan,' but its actions say 'bhago kisan' (go away, farmer). "A government does not run on stories; it needs action. People want service, not sermons," he said.

Patnaik warned that if the farmers' grievances are not addressed, the BJD would "shake this government out of its deep slumber like Kumbhakarna."He criticized the government for nearing its two-year mark without taking proper decisions or implementing them effectively. During the elec...
