Bhubaneswar, May 21 -- The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has urged Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambahmpati to intervene and ensure the uniform implementation of a minimum of 27 percent reservation for Other Backward Class (OBC) students across all educational institutions in the state.

BJD leaders, who held a protest on Wednesday demanding 27 percent reservation for OBC students in both higher education and employment, submitted a memorandum to the Governor.

They called for his intervention to protect the constitutional rights and educational future of socially and educationally backward communities in Odisha.
