Bhubaneswar, Oct. 15 -- The Biju Mahila Janata Dal (BMJD), the women's wing of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), today strongly criticized Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi for releasing a video of his conversation with the Odia medical student who was gangraped in Durgapur, West Bengal.

Senior BMJD leaders alleged that making the victim's conversation public amounted to a violation of Supreme Court guidelines, prohibiting disclosure of a sexual assault survivor's identity.

Addressing a press conference, BMJD Senior General Secretary Tukuni Sahu said that law and order in Odisha had deteriorated sharply during the 15 months of BJP rule.
