Bhubaneswar, Nov. 10 -- Apprehending violence during Tuesday's by-election for the Nuapada Assembly seat, a delegation of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Monday demanded strict security measures, including deployment of police and Central forces in all 32 identified sensitive booths to ensure a peaceful and fair polling.

In a memorandum submitted to the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), the BJD, the principal Opposition party in Odisha, listed 32 highly sensitive polling booths in the Nuapada Assembly constituency, comprising 17 booths in Nuapada block and 15 in Komna block.
