Bhubaneswar, Jan. 15 -- The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has raised serious objections to the Odisha government's decision to construct a new Legislative Assembly building and Lok Seva Bhavan, questioning both the necessity and financial planning behind the projects. The BJP-led state government recently laid the foundation stone for the proposed buildings.

The BJD alleged that the move is aimed at diverting public attention from the government's failures on multiple fronts at a time when public dissatisfaction is reportedly at its peak.
