Bhubaneswar, March 20 -- The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has extended its full support to the Odisha Rajya Vidyut Upabhogta Mahasangha's upcoming demonstration in front of the Odisha Assembly on March 21. The demonstration is being organized to protest the recent hikes in electricity tariff and the installation of smart metres across Odisha, both of which have caused significant distress among the state's electricity consumers.
