BJD demands justice for Koraput rape victim
Bhubaneswar, May 6 -- The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has demanded strict, appropriate, and exemplary punishment for those responsible for the rape of an 8-year-old girl at the Guneiguda ST & SC Girls' Hostel in Lamtaput Block, Koraput District, Odisha.
In a strongly worded statement, the BJD expressed deep concern, noting that despite having a Chief Minister from the tribal community, incidents of rape and atrocities against tribal girls continue unabated.
A high-level BJD delegation visited the Regional Office of the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes in Nayapalli and submitted a formal appeal demanding justice for the minor victim of the brutal incident.
