Bhubaneswar, Aug. 14 -- The principal Opposition party in Odisha, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), today strongly criticized the BJP-led state government for allegedly misleading the public about the Bhubaneswar Metro project.

Addressing a press conference here, BJD spokesperson Dr. Lenin Mohanty said that contradictory statements from BJP leaders have created confusion over the project's execution.

He alleged that the BJP government is pushing the project into uncertainty.

"While one minister claimed that the metro would run above ground, another asserted it would be underground," Mohanty said.
