Mumbai, Sept. 5 -- Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) has appointed BirdGuard India to monitor bird activity and ensure flight safety in and around the airport premises.

The airport management has assured that the surrounding airspace will be kept safe for both aircraft and the diverse bird species that inhabit the area, according to NatConnect Foundation.

The airport has also shared details with the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), outlining measures to manage potential wildlife hazards.
