Hyderabad, Aug. 7 -- With Indian agriculture facing growing challenges from climate stress, pest pressure, and stagnant crop yields, a state-level workshop held here today emphasized the need to adopt biotechnology tools, including genetic modification and gene editing, to ensure sustainable productivity gains.
The day-long conference, titled 'Biotechnology Applications for Crop Improvement: Key Developments', was held at Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU). It brought together leading scientists, policymakers, and industry stakeholders.
