New Delhi, Nov. 23 -- In a bid to prevent pollution inputs from the bio-mass burning during winters, like use of coal, fire wood, and conventional braziers, the Delhi government has now launched an initiative and started distribution of electric heaters to the Resident Welfare Associations, so they can be given to the security guards and staff.

Notably, many security guards in colonies use small bonfire, braziers, and such conventional measures to keep themselves warm during the night duties amidst the chilly winters.

Such conventional measures produce smoke and add to the pollution situation due to open burning of the conventional fuels.
