Chennai, Jan. 29 -- In the run up to the 49th Raising Day of Indian Coast Guard (ICG), two motorcycle expeditions were flagged off on Wednesday.
Both the rallies, which will conclude at Chennai on February one, were flagged off at Thoothukudi district in Tamil Nadu and Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.
The rallies were being organised by Coast Guard Region (East) based at Chennai to foster goodwill amongst the Coastal Security stakeholders and highlight the ICG's contribution towards safeguarding nation's maritime interests, while engaging with the local populace.
The motorcycle rally is being organized in partnership with the ONGC.
