Chhapra (Bihar), March 14 -- The district administration has launched an investigation into the death of five people under suspicious circumstances in Saran district. Police said on Saturday that five people died while at least 10 others were taken seriously ill and admitted to hospitals recently.
Police said the deaths occurred in areas under Mashrak, Panapur and Ishuapur police stations. The deceased have been identified as Santosh Mahto, Pankaj Kumar Singh, Raghuvar Mahto, Sukan Nat and Dharmendra Rai.
Following the incident, Saran District Magistrate Vaibhav Srivastava and Superintendent of Police Vineet Kumar began an investigation into the matter.
