Muzaffarpur, Oct. 30 -- A day after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi remarked that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had "played drama" with the Chhath festival for votes, PM Modi said today that the people of Bihar would not forgive him for hurting the sentiments associated with this revered festival.

Addressing a public meeting here in support of NDA candidates in the ongoing Bihar Assembly elections, Modi said Gandhi's comment insulted the people of Bihar and eastern India. He added that for Gandhi, Chhath was a "drama" and that those offering 'araghya' to the Sun God were merely performing theatrics.
