Patna, Dec. 21 -- Madhya Pradesh will extend full cooperation to Bihar for developing water sports, including the establishment of academies, construction of jetties, procurement and supply of equipment, and training of athletes and coaches.

Bihar Sports Minister Shreyasi Singh said that an understanding on this cooperation was reached after she recently visited canoeing, kayaking and rowing academies for water sports in Bhopal to study the potential and essential requirements for developing water sports in Bihar.

During her visit, Singh also met Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Sports Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang and discussed in detail on strengthening cooperation between the two states in this sector.
