Patna, Jan. 26 -- At a time when the nation was celebrating the 77th Republic Day, a high school teacher was arrested in Bihar's Supaul district for allegedly raising anti-national slogans during a school function.

Soon after the flag-hoisting ceremony at Abhuar High School in the Kishanpur block of Supaul district, teacher Mohammad Mansoor Alam allegedly raised the slogan "Mr. Jinnah amar rahe" (Long live Mr. Jinnah). The children present reportedly followed him and repeated the slogan.

The incident caused discomfort among teachers and students at the ceremony. Teachers, students, and others present at the venue objected to the act.
