Patna, Dec. 4 -- Bihar Finance Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav today presented the second Supplementary Budget for 2025-26, outlining additional expenditure of approximately Rs 91,717 crore in the Assembly.
The financial proposal places its biggest emphasis on welfare-oriented initiatives, with the largest allocations earmarked for the "Mukhyamantri Mahila Rozgar Yojana" (Chief Minister's Women's Employment Scheme ) and the free electricity scheme, signalling the government's continued focus on social support and economic empowerment of women.
According to the proposal, the Bihar government will spend Rs 21,000 crore on the Chief Minister's Women's Employment Scheme and Rs 6,462 crore on the Free Electricity Scheme.
